Cut Off sounds like "Get lost" : P

COMEDY REDEFINED... COURTSEY: DU ! : P

This year, Delhi University has given us comical moments, I'd say... what with the freaking high cut offs! Really freaking. REALLY REALLY freaking.

It made me feel like they wanted general candidates to get off the educational track and make way for candidates with quotas ! ; P

No, I'm not strictly against quotas, lemme make that clear to you. But I'm against the injustice that has been done to the underprivileged people aka general candidates ! : P

Fact is not even that. Okay, no issues with the oh-so-sweet cutoffs for OBCs and the lethal General cutoffs.

That is not even the comedy part... it is sweet... not comic.

What is ridiculously hopelessly fatally funny is not the 100% cutoff at SRCC or the 98-99 percents in other sought after colleges either. No... What really amazed me and made me practically LAUGH OUT LOUD is the fact that the college seats have been over-filled, inspite of the high get-lost cut offs !

I mean, beat that ! So if the colleges are freaky, we students are freakier ! ; D

May I say that we know the way in come what may ?

While they had probably wanted to hold us back, we have practically gushed into their colleges and looted their seats ! BINGO ! : D

And well, while many of us have been disGUSTSing enough to have taken admission at the very first list, our other friends have been ripped their seats apart and made way for themselves in the next lists !

Nevertheless, this is a part of student life. It had been predicted earlier that this year the cut offs would soar (and make us SORE ! ) : P But we have cracked it in ! So yeah... Make way for the new, fast and furious DUites ! And we are here to ROCK YOU ! Woohoo ! +_O

I would wish the very best to all my friends (and myself too ) :P for the next three years ! Hope we make the most of what we have... And for those of you (if any) who haven't been able to make it yet, I am quite sure you'll be able to geta grip over some college, where, I'm sure you'd get as enriching an experience as anywhere else ! : D

THE ATTITUDE TOWARDS ATTITUDE CHANGE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED BEFORE CHANGING THE ATTITUDE !

This is one of those lines that came to my mind quite unpredictably. A realization that hit me, without an invitation to do so !

So I assumed it to be my duty to explain it to myself (and to others) as to what it meant to be.

I agree with you when ur first reaction must have been "ouch! what the HELL?!!". Trust me, I had fely the same !

But, to think about it , there seemed some truth about what came out of my sub-conscious (or total unconscious anyway)...

Here is an attempt at its explanation... hope it works !!! :P

"Attitude" is nothing but a strong, deeply embedded belief for or against something. Technically, that "something" is the attituide object.Never mind THAT!

My mind has , of late , ventured into looking at attitudes held be people.

Through my very humble and amateur research, I have figured that people who should rather change their attitude, do not believe that it can be changed. And THAT, i think is where the problem lies.

They possess a negative attitude towards the whole idea of attitude change. Their belief in the whole phenomena of changing life through a changed attitude seems to be down in the dumps!

Just imagine how wonderfully , and i would say magically , lives can be changed if ppl hold a positive attitude towards it , instead!

A negative attitude hurts more than a negative life perceived positively! And a negative attitude towards changing it makes it even worse!

Just think about it really ...

Okay, now without further explanation, i'd only say that one must understand the significance our thoughts hold on our life events and hence the whole life!

It is fascinating how such small, seemingly unimportant things can make huge differences !

After all, "faith can move mountains"!

ps. All I ask for is to move the attitude rather than any mountain ! = P
